All in the Family 2017 Letter

Dear All in the Family Writer/Artist,

I'm happy you matched to one of my fandoms! I'm excited to see whatever you come up with. I love seeing either gen or romance in my family relationships, and I'd equally love to see those familial connections explored from my requests. Feel free to mix and match ideas as well. In advance, thank you for writing/drawing and I'm sure I'll enjoy whatever it is! Everything in this letter has requests for fanfiction or fanart. Canon settings or AUs are both fine for any of my canons; I like all kinds of AUs from the mundane to the more adventurous. If you need more ideas you may want to look at my previous letters.

My requested canons are:
Kill la Kill, Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon | Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid, Naruto, Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle, and Yu-Gi-Oh!

    Kill la Kill

    Kiryuuin Satsuki/Matoi Ryuuko:

Finding out that they were sisters was everything but expected! I like that Ryuko and Satsugi get along after the dust settles on Ragyo's plans. Even though they're technically enemies for most of the series, I like the respect they have for each other by the end. But I also really like the rivalry they have before they realize they're related, so feel more than free to have them battling or arguing. I'd especially like to see what happens post-series and what they end up doing after the academy is destroyed.

—Mako realizes Ryuko's been checking out Satsuki more often lately without her realizing why. Mako helps Ryuko try to get closer to her! Ryuko's not amused but when doesn't Mako help her best friend? (What about if it's on the date the three are on in the last episode?)

—The Life Fibers won, so how do Ryuko and Satsuki rely on each other (and comfort each other) in such a hostile and unpredictable world?

—Satsuki or Ryuko make clothes for each other, or at least share clothes in same way. Clothes are important in the series and would bring back not so happy memories, so I see them trying to make the best of it with clothes they like. Maybe one of them knits a scarf or something?

—Just spending time together, living together, swapping stories about their dad/mom to catch up and it leading to more personal talk? They still probably have a lot they want to know about each other.

—One day Ryuko watches Satsuki and sees something she doesn't expect to see. What if Ryuko had realized Satsuki wasn't on Ragyo's side earlier on in canon? How would that have affected her interactions, and would she develop feelings for Satsuki knowing what pain she was putting herself through? Or vice versa?

Art prompts: exchanging clothes/wearing each other's clothes, relaxing outside/inside, fighting together

Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon | Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid

    Kanna Kamui & Kobayashi:

I like how Kanna quickly accepts Kobayashi into her life as a parental figure and seeks out her guidance in a new place she isn't used to. Kobayashi doing things like making lunches and buying school supplies for Kanna makes me happy, and I'd find it sweet and amazing to see any other moments that show Kobayashi helping Kanna understand something, or Kobayashi learning something from Kanna she didn't expect.

—Kanna makes Kobayashi a gift at school during art class and gives it to her. Later, Kobayashi tries to find a good place to put it.

—Kanna needs to know something in order to fit in with the kids at school, so she asks Kobayashi. Kobayashi might not totally be good with that kind of thing, but she's not bad either.

—Kanna's doing well at school—or maybe she failed a test? Kobayashi talking to Kanna's teacher when the teacher is concerned about Kanna's behavior. Kobayashi helping her with her homework, perhaps?

—Kobayashi slowly growing more fond of Kanna as she gets older or feels proud she's learned so much from humans in general.

Art prompts: holdays like Valentine's (Kanna giving chocolate to Kobayashi?), Kanna in dragon form with Kobayashi, Kobayashi patting Kanna on the head

I fell for these two after I realized Itachi wasn't evil. I don't mind darker portrayals of Itachi, though I am the most fascinated seeing how he was good all along. This leads me to very much like the tug-of-war conflict in either one of their minds about each other—Itachi not wanting to harm Sasuke but pretending to be cruel anyway so he can keep up appearances, and Sasuke reminiscing about what went terribly wrong. While I am fine with Itachi torturing Sasuke in canon typical ways, I'd prefer some insight into Itachi's mindset about anything he may or may not want to do. Sasuke idolizing Itachi and Itachi watching out for Sasuke, whether or not he knows, are both aspects I like about their relationship.

    Uchiha Itachi/Uchiha Sasuke:

—Itachi doesn't leave Sasuke behind after the massacre. Itachi can wholly be truthful or withholds secrets from Sasuke and Sasuke doesn't trust him. Maybe they don't go straight to the Akatsuki? Perhaps they try to avoid detection. Where does Sasuke end up while they're at the Akatsuki?

—How early do their feelings start? Do Sasuke's feelings go as far back as he remembers? Itachi probably would realize it first, but I can see his feelings for Sasuke not being something he makes a big deal out of, because it's obvious he loves Sasuke a lot. How would Itachi taunt Sasuke with feelings he doesn't want? Tension with hiding feelings is good too.

—This is the only ship I have not DNW'd non-con/rape for, because I know it tends to lend itself to it. For a twist, Sasuke gets the one up on Itachi somehow (or thinks has an advantage) and things go south from there.

—Or, you know, as much as I talk about Itachi being good, Itachi could be as evil as he was supposed to originally be. I actually don't mind that, either, even though I did end up liking him after the reveal. I would still like a look into his darker and evil thoughts, too!

    Uchiha Itachi & Uchiha Sasuke:

—That one day even Uchiha Itachi says "screw these responsibilities" and he and Sasuke end up... actually doing something together. The shock! Sasuke asked for this but he isn't sure it's happening either.

—I like sickfic and it can go either way. For example, what if Sasuke is hurt while seeking Itachi out after he leaves Konoha and no one else is there? Or while Sasuke is training when he's younger? Or seeing Itachi cough up blood is not what Sasuke expects. Is it something he finds out much earlier than right before Itachi dies (and might want to help with despite the bitterness in his heart saying otherwise)?

—Anything with Itachi not dying would be great. But he always wanted to die because of what he did, so does that mean he hates being alive and watching from afar? Is he alive because he can't approach Sasuke as himself again?

—Canon divergence or AU where the massacre doesn't take place.

Art prompts: forehead poking (because yes), more hugging and spending time on the veranda at night

    Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle

Always hopping worlds, being worried the hunter will creep up out of nowhere... I enjoy how desperate their situation is and how tight-knit that makes Subaru and Kamui. Kamui's the overprotective one, and Subaru is the calmer one (or is he in the TRC universe? we don't get much into his personality in TRC), so I'd like to see how their traveling affects them and what kind of interesting stops they make along the way. Reference to their relationship in X are also very welcome.

—Kamui is jealous Seishirou keeps stalking Subaru for his blood. It doesn't even matter he isn't there, he's angry. Subaru doesn't think much about Kamui giving him those looks when he knows Subaru's thinking about it. Subaru doesn't catch onto that, but after a while...

—What about directly after Acid Tokyo? Subaru slowly can't help but see how dedicated Kamui is about taking care of him, and they end up going off the charts even more than ever. He waited a long time in Tokyo, after all. How much did Subaru think about Kamui while he was sealed away?

    Kamui & Subaru:

—Times either Subaru or Kamui get sick take care of each other—something about being vampires? Sometimes you would imagine they wouldn't be too cautious about their health when they feel like they need to keep moving, but their well-being is more important.

—How about life pre-TRC? I'd like to know where Subaru and Kamui came from! Are they royalty, or do they come from a strict clan of old age vampires? I've always liked the headcanon that they were princes before Seishirou originally finds them. I'd like to know how they spent their days, or what kind of lives they used to have.

—Subaru and Kamui weren't even close before having to leave their original home world. It's not that they dislike each other, but they barely talked because they were so busy. But traveling together in close quarters strengthens their bond to both Kamui and Subaru's surprise.

—My prompts have a lot of "Kamui is super angry," but I like him happy too! What about the moments they're just relaxed after a long day? Does Subaru buy something Kamui something as a souvenir?

Art prompts: sleeping next to each other, wearing crowns/being princes (if you go for that headcannon) blood/bite marks, hugging each other

I am mainly used to anime canon, but I have read some of the manga and don't mind spoilers.

    Kaiba Mokuba & Kaiba Seto:

Ever since the orphanage Mokuba's always been Seto's number one priority (besides his work). I like how much that carries from their childhood to times even Seto is at his busiest building interventions and whatnot.

—Mokuba takes care of Seto late at night while he's working. Covers him with blankets and gives him snacks, etc. Seto is so immersed in his work he thinks it's his butler or maid, but he realizes it isn't...

—Even moments before they were orphaned? What were their lives like?

—Seto takes a day off to spend with Mokuba. But what do they do together? Seto already has the amusement park, but they kind of own it... so where else would be fun for them to be?

—When Nokuba is protective of Seto, I can't help but think about how much he'd like to help him. What if he gives Seto a good idea for one of his projects and Seto ends up working with him on it?

    Kaiba Noa/Kaiba Seto:

For Seto and Noa, I'd like seeing them butt heads! This probably calls for an AU or canon divergence, but I wouldn't mind seeing them both trying to get the one-up on each other for the Kaiba Corporation. Noa hates Seto for stealing the spotlight from him while he was trapped in his own reality and completely alone, but the question is whether Seto would still care.

—Seto finds out about Noa earlier. Somehow while Gozaburo is still around, he finds the files of his existence. He isn't sure what that means, but he finds a boy inside and they start chatting...

—Seto and Noa actually grow up together. It doesn't matter if Seto's adopted or not. They learn the same academics and fight over praise—they both want to succeed. It looks like Noa might be ahead sometimes because he seems to enjoy his lessons more, but no one should underestimate Seto. And the rivalry continues even after their father is gone.

—What if Noa, since he's spent more time in vitual reality, knows more about it than Seto? How much time do they spend in virutal reality, and do they get trapped there somehow?

Art prompts: Seto showing Mokuba something about his work, Seto and Noa glaring at each other
