Hello there fellow Yuletide writer,
First of all, thank you for writing anything at all for me! I missed sign-ups by a few days last year, but this is my second year participating in Yuletide. As my first Dear Yuletide Letter, I hope I'm able to give you some novel ideas to work with!
Don't take the length of my sections too seriously. I simply have more to say about some fandoms, be it prompts or my viewpoints on canon. Rest assured I love everything I'm requesting! The fandoms I have listed are near and dear to my heart, and I have absolutely no doubt I will be delighted by any story you cook up. I'm easygoing—I don't think you can go wrong writing for me, because I'm interested in seeing new perspectives covering my favorite characters.

Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun
I really enjoy all the characters in the series, but I love the way Nozaki thinks. He's a giant goofball of a writer and I can relate to him so much. If you could do anything that focuses on him and his writing aspirations and wacky mishaps in creating characters or observing new possibilities for a story, that would be great, Nozaki/Chiyo would be good put into anything as well if you're out to ship, or any of the other canon pairings.
Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu ka? | Is the Order a Rabbit?
This is an adorable series for me because I adore rabbits so much it hurts. I'd love to just see anything from slice of life (not that the series isn't all this, but) to anything comedic.
K-On!
K-On! is cathartic in that it's silliness doesn't try to dramatize every day life. It's just fun. Yet, by the end, it's impossible not to genuinely feel bittersweet these girls are moving on with their lives, ready to see higher horizons. Besides, it's sickeningly adorable. I'm looking for fluff here rather than depressing.
Ships: I accept any pairings here, really, but I fawn over Azusa/Yui. Tsumugi/Yui is a another good one. Feel free to use Mio/Ritsu if you want to somewhere because I couldn't throw Ritsu in. I'm mainly looking for my favorite ship, Azusa/Yui. They tug at my heartstrings in criminally sweet ways that should be outlawed.
Prompts:
1) An expansion on something in the movie in general. What else could the girls do in London? What other mischief could they find themselves in? Added historical or cultural knowledge would be great to learn alongside the characters.
2) Speaking of London, Azusa shows implied feelings towards Yui in the movie when she believes Yui might have feelings for her. What about that? What about if Azusa decides it's time for her to talk to Yui about those feelings—and that gives Yui new ideas for their graduation song/something else? Maybe a date?
3) I haven't really read the after anime stuff even though I know some things (the college manga, or the Azusa takes over the LIght Music Club high school manga). Don't let that stop you! If you could do something with the girls after high school and either show their careers/romance with each other, I'd be down for that. Feel free to add the new girls from those materials, or just focus on Azusa trying to pick up the pieces with the new Light Music Club as the president. I'm sure it'd be wonderful to see Azusa miss the original four but make a bunch of new friends.
Love Live! School Idol Project

Here's an idol series that I thought wouldn't make as much of a splash on me. I started the anime when it aired. Speed forward and I'm a School Idol Festival addict—I've had a growing appreciation for each of the girls over the last few months playing SIF that I hadn't considered as fondly before.
What I love about this series isn't the plot that the girls are trying to achieve. That is, save the school from closing down. I enjoy watching their hard work and dedication to being idols and lasting friendship. I like seeing their slice-of-life adventures and the their hard practicing coming to fruition on the screen.
I originally nominated Honoka, Kotori, Nico, and Rin because I wasn't certain anyone else would nominate them. (Seeing how many people are offering, I feel embarrassed.) But to my relief all of the girls are in! Feel free to stick to my original four or focus on the others. Kotori and Nico are my favorite girls.
I have not seen the movie, and I doubt I will before reveals. Believe I am still salty I didn't get a code from the movie. Oh, but I will one day! If you want to add something from the movie, no worries. I've read a bunch of spoilers.
Ships: To tell you the truth, I don't have a favorite. I enjoy the usual ones: NozoEli, RinPana, and NicoMaki. It's just, I'm not attached to one particularly. I felt little need to have any ships by the end of this series, though I support pairing up characters that aren't in the usual spotlight. KotoNico would be nice. Even go threeway with Umi, Kotori, and Honoka. The sub-unit for Kotori, Honoka, and Hanayo strikes me as one of the most cavity inducing couplings ever.
Prompts:
1) Since Nico and Kotori are my favories, I'd like to see something work between them despite the little fact they're polar opposites. I can see a spark rising between them when Nico's passion towards her goals still (aka, being an idol) and Kotori is a follower without as many dreams for her own life (but she sticks with making clothes) collide. So, upon a request Kotori is hired to make Nico's costumes. This would probably be an AU. I'm thinking they're both a bit older, but you could even fit this into something after they graduate?
Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha | Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha

The Nanoha universe is a rich magical goldmine. The artificial devices, the prospects of numerous worlds in the universe, and the amount of characters to boot make this a detailed-orientated series. That's something that I enjoy about this series the most—that it's constantly evolving into something new. Nanoha only scratches the surface of many of those possibilities. I would be thrilled to see worldbuilding into Midchilda's technology and culture, the government or military, or the surrounding universe and planets.
Action makes Nanoha what it is as well as the lack of a villain. There's a villain that turns the tables, but the characters have a reason. They aren't mindless drones. Those characters have feelings, dreams and hopes that propel them on, a personality that stretches beyond first impressions allow. The grey mortality in the series is really a one of my favorite points. Even if you want to translate grey mortality into Fate and Nanoha's romantic relationship, that would be nice.
That's another reason why Nanoha and Fate have risen to my favorites in the series. I like that we they've grown and learned so much about magic. We see them earn a place in the military, which pushes another one of my "YES" buttons. I'd love to see Nanoha and Fate engaged in some case as adults, or I'd like to have the blanks filled in during their teenage years.
Ships: I ship Nanoha and Fate as platonic life partners or romantic partners. The series is written in such a way that either is plausible, and all I want for these two girls is for them both to be happy. Go cavity-inducing sweet or yank out my heartstrings one by one as painfully possible as you see fit. I'd rather, by the end, they work through whatever problems they've had to face.
In the spirit of Vivid having an anime earlier this year, I'd also be interested in Einhart and Vivio stories. Despite that they parallel Nanoha and Fate's rivalry, I prefer them as friends. Feel free to ship if you so please! Anything with Einhart and Vivio training or delving into their past beyond canon would be great. I'd really like to see them revisit their old feelings for each other. Personally, I'd also like to see Einhart with a little more personality than she shows in canon.
Prompts:
1) One mystery that plagues me is the mystery of Raising Heart and where Yuuno discovered it. This doesn't sound like much, but I feel there's a story that was supposed to come out of Raising Heart's origins that never found its way into canon. What could that mean for Nanoha to discover something special about RH, or even Fate realizing something special about Bardiche that she never realized Linith did? How could that bring Nanoha and Fate closer. Is it a prophecy?
2) As we see in A's, Fate blends in well into Japanese society at first. But, I wonder, what mistakes could she make along the way that gets her into trouble throughout the years that show the stark difference between Japanese and Midchildan societies? What would Nanoha have to help her with, or what could she do to make Fate feel like she's living her life the best she can? Something culture-based or a trip would be interesting. Vice versa when Nanoha moves to Midchilda.
Tokyo Babylon

I love everything. I love the psychological stories, the beauty and grace of Tokyo's urban landscape, the heap of swirling cherry blossoms, and Subaru's episodic cases. I dig the overall happy-go-lucky atmosphere that downspirals into its own gritty hell. You could write me anything and I'll enjoy it to the nth degree—I can't get enough of the various interpretations of the setting and characters. AUs, changes to the end of the bet or other canon, or a case fic.
Don’t be fooled that I only like kind!Seishirou based on my prompts. I adore crueler Seishirou. If you want to up his ante on the not-so-nice-possessiveness side, you’ve hit my happy button. Seishirou is delightful not only because he's mysterious—but no matter how hard you try to characterize him, it's impossible not to fall flat into a brick wall. You'll have a million perspectives to work with and few that are concrete in canon. Somehow, through these millions of pieces, you still have a Seishirou that's in character. I’m enamoured with that freedom.
Ships: Seishirou and Subaru are my favorite pairing in existence. Either fluff or manipulation, inside or outside the bet, would be amazing. Like canon the story doesn't necessarily need a happy ending, though I would enjoy seeing them resolve their numerous issues for once. Or maybe they don't. Everything could turn out bittersweet and I'm left to sob uncontrollably because it's too dark and grim to find my way out.
Prompts:
1) What would happen if, running away from canon, Subaru became a zookeeper and lived his dream. He would be happy working with animals and not as the Sumeragi head—or would he? Would Hokuto be the clan leader? Where would Seishirou be if he never met Subaru, or would he still be a veterinarian? What would happen when they meet in this timeline? As a dream that Subaru himself has, I find it an interesting idea to explore.
2) So, there's probably more comedy in this one—or you could make it darker. Subaru, despite that he never considers his relationship with Seishirou more than a friendship, actually becomes jealous the more he thinks about Hokuto and Seishirou hanging out. It's true Seishirou only has eyes for Subaru. Still, Hokuto is in-tune with Seishirou's mischievous wavelength more than Subaru is. Subaru wants that for himself. This might result in Subaru trying to change his personality (through succeeding not) and unknowingly progresses the bet to garner Seishirou's attention. I'd think it'd be fun to play with Subaru working outside the box and Seishirou's interested in the switch.
3) A focus on anything between TB and X. The gap between is one of my favorites because it lends itself to so many possibilities. What if Subaru finds Seishirou before he was ready to be found? What if you turned the Seishirou meets Subaru at his apartment cliche around, and Subaru finds Seishirou at his family's mansion? (You could do a post-X time travel where Subaru's the Sakurazukamori and knows where the mansion is, if that's your thing.)
4. A fic based on CLAMP's recent sketch of Seishirou and the self help books from their new radio show. If you’ve seen it, you know what it is. It's brilliant and could turn into something golden. Subaru finds Seishirou reading those books, sees the stash and tests Seishirou's studying, etc.

After reading through everything, I hopefully gave you ideas. If you decide not to use what I've listed I will be happy to see what you write.
